January 2006: Born near Chicago and trained at the feet of blues icon Luther Allison, bluesman Lightning Red relocated to Austin in the mid-seventies where he met SRV and performed with Marcia Ball, W.C.Clark, Omar and the Howlers and many others at the legendary Armadillo World Headquarters.
